What is counseling?

We explore the past, present and future. Once we digest that past and set some goals for the future we then recognize our current behaviors and begin a process to change them.

Why does counseling help?

There is an uninterrupted focus on you. Feelings spoken out loud are released and faced one at a time. Plans may be more easily formulated in your mind when explaining them to a professional. Suggestions may be examined realistically.
Your own brain begins to create the solutions that are right for you. Encouragement and accountability push you forward to achieve your purpose. Counseling is a positive step toward healing. What is holding you back?

Why do we hurt?

God made us with feelings and sensitivities so that we may love more fully. The flip side to that coin is that we are very sensitive to the comments of others and easily hurt. We are even more susceptible when we are hungry, tired or stressed.

God knows us completely and reaches out to us when we pray and read his word, the Bible.
When we immerse ourselves in His music, sermons, bible studies and worship services our focus is turned toward heaven where we look to find peace.

But sometimes we need help to find God in the mess.
That is the time to find a Christian Counselor with whom you are able to establish a strong, safe connection. Oftentimes we must take that first step.

Joshua 1:9
“…be strong and courageous! Do no be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
